While there are no real magic formulas, there are a few useful approaches that you can use to learn beginner guitar chords, starting today.
Lets presume that you have a chart of chords and that you have a comprehension of how to play the guitar, read a diagram and put your fingers on the fretboard and strings effectively. Your next step would not be to attempt to learn every chord that is on the chart as soon as possible.
A more advantageous strategy would be to start out with only two to three easy to play guitar chords. These should ideally be inside the same key or family. A key is a group of associated chords or a "family" that musicians use when creating songs.

When ever you fully feel comfortable with your first chord = "A", try doing the very same thing for the subsequent one. Approach switching between chords in a similar style. Position your fingers for "A" and lift and replace your fingers for "D", and back to "A". Try repeating this several times. Next you can add "E" to this mix. Start with the A, to the D to the E and continue to keep looping this pattern or progression.
Don't get discouraged if your not improving as rapidly as you expect. After some time and practice you will be strumming and have the ability to switch between chords easily.
