The higher I focused my energy on the anxiety the more powerful my anxiety attack became. So with the help of a therapist, I was able to work on my feelings and defeat my anxiety.
It would be a lie to say I am anxiety free, but I'm much more able to cope with anxiety, I've more coping methods. Coping with anxiety is now much easier for me.
Another to bear in mind, is that anxiety may be unpleasant, but it is not always a difficult thing. This anxiety can help up be alert, the adrenalin can keep us focused. When anxiety is relentless, when it interferes with relationships and activities-that is when you have crossed the line from standard anxiety into the territory of anxiety problems.
